In food chains it is increasingly important to know what is happening in the chain. Not only have consumers become increasingly aware, which makes them want to know where their food comes from, but also in connection with food safety it is important to know where a product comes from and where it has been used. As a result, various platforms have been built in recent years to make food chains traceable. An example of this is fairfood.nl. These platforms have mostly been built on blockchain technology, which has its advantages and disadvantages. Our question now is, could you use IRMA to validate the chain as an alternative to blockchain?
